1. What We Collect
Tamil Font Style is designed to minimize data collection. We do not require accounts, signups, or any personally identifying information to use any of our tools. Specifically:
- Your typed text: Stays in your browser — never sent to our servers (except briefly for English → Tamil transliteration via Google Input Tools).
- Your downloads: Happen directly from your browser to your device — we don't track which fonts you download.
- Your preferences (theme, font size, last-used text): Stored in your browser's localStorage. Never sent anywhere. Clearing your browser data removes them.
2. Analytics
We use privacy-friendly aggregate analytics (page view counts, country-level traffic, browser types) to understand which Tamil fonts and tools are most popular. We do not use cross-site tracking pixels or behavioral advertising trackers.
3. Cookies
We use a single technical cookie to remember your theme preference (light/dark). No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking cookies.
4. Google Input Tools (English → Tamil Transliteration)
When you type English in the input box, our generator sends that text to Google's Input Tools API to convert it to Tamil. This is a quick fire-and-forget request — Google's privacy policy governs how Google handles that data. If you don't want to use the transliteration feature, simply type your text directly in Tamil and no external API is called.
5. Font Licenses
Every Tamil font on this site is distributed under its original open-source license (SIL Open Font License in most cases). When you download a TTF, you accept the license terms shipped with each font.
6. Children
Our service is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, regardless of age.
7. Updates to This Policy
If we materially change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top and announce the change on the homepage.
